Demolition

Hazell Bros' experience in demolition ranges from working in confined inner-city areas demolishing empty or partially occupied buildings, to the demolition of bridges, jetties and wharves in environmentally sensitive wetlands.

Hazell Bros holds a Controlled Waste Handler Certification of Registration issued by EPA Tasmania, allowing us to handle demolition waste and manage contamination.

NETTLEFOLDS BUILDING

Demolition of the Nettlefolds building, tram depot and adjoining cool stores in Hobart in 1985 made way for construction of the new Grand Chancellor Hotel.

This project was Hazell Bros' first significant demolition job.

The demolition was carried out using conventional excavators and rock breakers; no long boom, shears, pulverisers or grabs were available then!

SORELL CAUSEWAY

Having a relationship with Veolia to recycle glass has been the catalyst for Hazell Bros to revolutionise glass recycling in Tasmania.

Our research and testing over the past five years has allowed us to create quality recycled glass for use in asphalt production, masonry products and for use in pipe embedment.
