Asphalt Production Capability – Southern Tasmania

Hazell Bros is delivering Southern Tasmania’s most technologically advanced asphalt production facility, purpose-built to support infrastructure, civil construction and road surfacing projects across Tasmania.

Key capabilities:

  • Asphalt designed to meet VicRoads specifications
  • High Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) content – Capability to produce hot asphalt with up to 70% RAP, using advanced cold and post‑flame dryer RAP feed systems
  • Circular reuse of materials – RAP sourced directly from resurfacing works and surplus production, diverting material from landfill
  • Additional recycled materials, including processed glass, can be incorporated into asphalt mixes where specifications and project requirements allow, further supporting circular economy outcomes and reduction of landfill
  • Quality assurance and control – Hazell Bros is the only asphalt producer in Southern
  • Tasmania with its own NATA-accredited testing facilities, quarry and transport fleet
  • Local supply certainty – Designed to support consistent production volumes and reliable project delivery throughout the construction season.

Crossroads is an established Tasmanian surfacing contractor with a strong track record delivering surfacing projects across Tasmania’s civil, infrastructure and road construction sectors.
