Hazell Bros acquired the VEC Civil Engineering business based in Ulverstone, Tasmania from the Downer Group in late 2023. This acquisition includes the pre-cast concrete manufacturing and steel fabrication workshop which complements our robust civil construction capabilities.

The pre-cast team has almost 30 years of experience producing pre-cast elements and complex concrete structures. Our precast manufacturing facility offers state-of-the-art steam and moisture curing systems, allowing continuous control and measurement of cure temperatures. Coupled with the protection provided by an undercover workspace and 2x 32 tonne 1x 20 tonne gantries, this allows for reliable results and a quality product that has come to be depended upon by the Tasmanian industry.
