Hazell Bros is excited to announce the recent contract for the Cattle Hill Wind Farm (CHWF). We are looking forward to working closely with Goldwind Tasmania to deliver Tasmanian’s newest clean energy source.
CHWF is located on the eastern shore of Lake Echo on the southern side of the Central Plateau of Tasmania, 1:45mins drive from Hobart and Launceston. The wind farm consists of 27km of access roads to be constructed and will contain 48 Turbines. Each turbine footing consists of 500m3 of Concrete, 58 tonnes of Steel, a 16t bolt cage. Hazell Bros has engaged RJE Pty Ltd to install the electrical side of the BOP works which includes reticulation works and the construction of the wind farm substation.
Having already completed the site access works, many areas of our business are involved and ready to deliver their part of the puzzle. Hazell Bros will remain on site until we have completed all the BOP works which is due for completion in September 2019.
Once operational, the project will provide enough clean energy to power approximately 63,500 Tasmanian homes each year. Cattle Hill Windfarm is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2019.
