If you have been in Bellerive in the past 24 hours, you may have noticed some interesting things happening in Kangaroo Bay. Yesterday, we floated a 350m long pipeline from North West Bay in Margate, where it was constructed, up the Derwent River to Kangaroo Bay.

The replacement sewer rising main for TasWater is already fitted with 81 1600kg concrete ballast blocks that when sunk, will hold the pipeline on the sea floor. Earlier this morning, the pipeline was sunk into position, running from Victoria Esplanade at Bellerive, to Seabird Lane in Rosny.
