We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the team on a full-time basis, providing support to operational business units state-wide. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support, coordination and advice of safety practices, systems and procedures and practical assistance;
  • Monitoring compliance with the safety systems within the workplace and provide operational support to the applicable business unit;
  • Incident investigations, auditing and assisting with workers’ compensation claims, return to work and rehabilitation processes;
  • Preparing and presenting safety information including monthly reporting, safety training material, safety committee records, and incident reports as required; and
  • Recommending and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and education to enhance safety.

The successful candidate will be a “people person” and have sufficient knowledge and experience to “hit the ground running” in this hands-on role.

Tertiary qualified (Certificate IV or higher in OHS) and passionate about driving a culture of strong HSE compliance and responsibility, we are looking for someone with substantial operational safety experience along with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.  Experience in integrated management systems, practical risk management practices, incident investigation and compliance are also critical to success in the role.

Experience or practical background within a heavy industrial environment would set you apart from the competition.
